Alongside people like Jerry Colangelo, Dave Cavan, and Foster Friess, Tom Lehman is heavily involved in impacting and improving the lives of children who are at-risk. The Tom Lehman Golf Invitational, in its 7th year of support, has brought in more than 2.5 million dollars to enhance the lives of children in the MentorKids USA program. A program that originally targeted the youth who had one or more parents in prison, has directly changed the path in which the children were directed; a path that would have led them to those same cells that their parents had lived.
Since the inception of MentorKids USA in 1997, formerly Phoenix MatchPoint, there have been close to 1000 children who have been paired with a mentor that caused life-changing results. Studies have shown that youth who meet regularly with their mentors are 46% less likely to start using illegal drugs, 27% less likely to start drinking and 52% less likely to skip a day of school. The need is greater than ever to provide a mentor for these hurting children. MentorKids will continue to do their great work ONLY by supporters like yourself. This year, The Tom Lehman Golf Invitational strives to raise $350,000 to enhance and expand their program within the state with a vision to expand nationwide within the next 3 years.
This year, our entrance fee is $1,500 per individual player and $5,000 per foursome. In addition, we have corporate sponsorship packages that are available starting from $1,000 all the way up to $50,000.
